Well poor Jon's intestines are still on strike and they have had to put him back on 3 drips, one food, on sodium solution and one pain killer, as he became very dehydrated. Combine this with feeling sick all the time and I'm sure you can understand how ill he is feeling. This means he wont be making a trip home tomorrow or coming out on Monday. Such a disappointment but appaently this often happens and everything else, mobility and healing, are coming along fine.
Oli is coming back tomorrow and I guess it's the Eurovision Song Contest for me tonight!
Love to you all

One more chance of posting a joke that Jon might not have heard then....
ReplyDeleteA pastor, a doctor and a chartered structural engineer (CSE) were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers.
The engineer fumed, "What's with these guys? We must have been waiting for 15 minutes!"
The doctor chimed in, "I don't know, but I've never seen such ineptitude!"
The pastor said, "Hey, here comes the greens keeper. Let's have a word with him."
"Hi George. Say, what's up with the group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?"
The greens keeper replied, "Oh, yes, that's the group of blind firefighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime."
The group was silent for a moment.
The pastor said, "That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight."
The doctor said, "Good idea. And I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist buddy and see if there's anything he can do for them."
The CSE said, "Why can't these guys play at night?".
And finally, always remember you're unique - just like everyone else...
Andy
Hi Jon
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that tomorrow will be a better day.
Day 2 report from the Tour de France.
Result - 1st Malcom, 2nd Chris
Weather - Good and very sunny
Food - nothing reported!
Colin has now joined the sick list excuses with "waterworks" trouble.
Malcolm is apparantly missing you because you don't snore! I am not sure who he is sharing with but possible culprits are Colin or Dave H.
The boys are playing the team games tomorrow. I think they are having a good time, Chris and texting information do not go together! They are all thinking of you. Try and keep positive, as the song goes things can only get better!! love to you and Marilyn. Jane
P.S. Did you pick Norway as the winner? I didn't!

Hi there,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear things are not going to plan - good vibes being sent, as always. In the meantime,
I went for lunch with 2 friends yesterday and we talked about spicing up our relationships. One said that she dressed up in a sexy black leather outfit complete with mask, made her man a fabulous meal and waited at the door for him. Apparently, they never got to the meal. The other friend said she had tried somthing similar with the same end result. So, I thought let's give it a try - went home chose a particularly tight black leather jumpsuit, complete with sexy mask, made dinner and stood at the door waiting for Skip. He opened the door, took one look at me and said "what's for dinner Batman?"
Love to you all,
Frances and Skip xoxoxox
Hi Beales,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that Jon is having a tough time at the moment but we're sure that things will get better from today (besides he has no choice with so many people rooting for him.)
Tell him that if his temperature goes up the best thing to do in the current climate is flog it!!
Thinking of you all,
Love Staceys
Hi there
ReplyDeleteTell me you didn't vote for Norway - although he'd got quite a cute smile...we weren't supposed to be voting on the song were we?
Really sorry the drip has joined you again, guess it didn't want to be apart from you for long - just like your lovely family and friends (now that sounds as if we are lovely and it wasn't meant like that, not that we aren't though...oh whatever!). The sickness must be a real bugger and we can only guess how knackered you must be feeling, here's hoping it won't be for long, it sounds as if you are doing so well in all respects, well done boy! The beautiful summer we have been promised is waiting for you to get outa there...take care, lots of love to you all
B & C xx
Sorry to hear another not so good day - Hang on in there Jon, it will get better - just probably doesnt feel like that at present - you're fit, healthy, charming & a great catch ( I know, bit over the top but Marilyn's got your vote, so there must be something in it ! ) just take your time - theres no race on here, just nice and gently does it -and you'll be back soon, right as rain !
ReplyDeletewe didnt get Norway either - but then he wasnt a real Norway, was he really ?!
hoping today is a better day
Love Sandi & Phil L
Jon,
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you, but we feel rather left out as we haven't been invited to Catherine's (as bloggers above) and we are kind of wondering why not? Something we said?!! Who is Catherine anyway? - I'm sure she does a good roast though!
Sorry to hear about the step back, but no pain no gain - you'll be there very soon and just think, you might get invited to Catherine's for a roastie (that's MEAT!) as well (will we be invited too?!). Chin up, keep smiling - Our love, Pam (and Jan) xx
Sorry to hear about the setback - but I'm sure it's only a slight blip on your way to recovery.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think the Ukraine were robbed. The poor woman deserved top marks for effort at least!
Hope today was a better day. Tessa
Hi Jon
ReplyDeleteHope that you have had a better day today.
I have been asked to let you know that the'boys' on golf tour have played the'oldies' vs 'baddies' today. The news is that the baddies (Malcolm, Chris & Peter) did not just beat the oldies (Dave, Dave & Colin), they 'slaughtered' them (not my words!). Apparently, today was the 2008 competition - the 2009 one will not take place until you are ready to resume your place as captain of the 'oldies'. Hope this makes some sense to you Jon!
Weather for the golfers today has again been great. Malcolm didn't seem to appreciate me calling him a jammie bastard for their luck with the weather - even though every time I looked out of the window today it seemed to be chucking it down with rain, and they are only just the other side of the channel.
They are all home tomorrow, and no doubt will up-date you with all the locker room gossip!
Love to you all
Tricia
